“Tobiganna” is a marking technique where a series of cuts are made using the edge of a hand plane (“tobi” means “jump” or “fly” and “kanna” is the word for hand plane)
These cups feature the “tobiganna” markings on the exterior as well as a cream and turquoise glaze
Marked “Tsurumi gama” kiln and “Koishiwara” on base
