Glass and wire Flowers can be removed and the vessel used as a regular vase
Ryukyu is the ancient name for Okinawa, which changed from kingdom to prefecture in 1879 during the early Meiji period
Ryukyu glass is bold and brightly coloured, inspired by the beautiful nature of the islands
Glass production in Okinawa is thought to have begun at the start of the 20th century when glass workers from Satsuma, Kagoshima Prefecture brought their skills to the islands
