Marked "Eiho" kiln on base
Kikyo (bellflowers) have long been considered auspicious as it has a similar sound to “kikkyo” which means one’s destiny or fortune
In the past there was a custom of offering a single bellflower to Buddha and that he would then predict the offerer’s fortune
