Pre-loved Sousaku “Creative” Style Kokeshi (1990s~2000s)
Kokeshi with hand-painted white and orange chrysanthemums is by Aoki Ryoka, a female master artisan from Gunma Prefecture
Stamped ”Ryoka” on the base, and "Shingu" in Wakayama Prefecture on the back where this kokeshi would have been sold as a souvenir
Smaller kokeshi is by Usaburo and titled "Shiawase", meaning "happiness"
Usaburo is a kokeshi workshop, also in Gunma Prefecture - with around 6 artisans in the studio, it is the largest kokeshi producer in Japan

CARING FOR YOUR KOKESHI
To dust, wipe gently with a dry soft cloth
